Varya Solonyov (Варя Солоний) is a member of the Department of Anomalies. She works with her subordinate Xiaomei Tang to investigate and contain mysterious falling objects while preventing the broader public from learning about them.
A Withering Flower
Varya and Xiaomei were assigned to investigate an MFO. Upon arriving, they discovered that it had inhabited Sumire Yanagi’s body, so they pursued her until they Xiaomei was able to learn about her occupation, cyborgized body, and residence.
The next day, they intercepted Sumire at her apartment and convinced her to accompany them to her headquarters, and successfully removed the MFO while wiping her memories of the incident.
Personality and traits
Varya is a workaholic. Because she spends a majority of her time working, it’s common to see her either in the field directly investigating MFOs or in her office composing reports or falling asleep at her desk due to exhaustion. She is diligent and cunning, able to assess people quickly and read between the lines.
The time she spends outside of work, if any, is for smoking and drinking away her stress. Though she understands the rationale, she can’t help but complain about the prohibition of alcohol in the office.
Abilities and skills

Possessions
- Colt Python: Though Varya is issued a semi-automatic pistol, she prefers her personal revolver for its power, quality, and reliability.
- Communicator: This is a standard issue for all members of the Department of Anomalies, allowing each person to call contacts. It can also project holograms to convey any data logged or looked up.
