Sumire Yanagi (柳スミレ) is the head of anti-espionage at Beauchêne. She was appointed that position by Marshal Beauchêne who recognized her for her contributions to the company and efforts for thwarting the spying of Glamtec, her former employer.
Although nervous at first, she developed a confidence from her quick learning and hypercompetence born from performing a variety of odd jobs.
As one of the first people who has been cyborgized, she has the ability to change her physical features at will, as well as superhuman strength and reflexes.
Sumire worked at various odd jobs, gaining many different skills. She eventually was employed at Glamtec where she greatly benefited the company. However, the company’s executives didn’t appreciate her for her work, so she applied to and was accepted to work for Beauchêne, Glamtec’s rival. When Glamtec discovered this, they blackmailed her into spying for them.
Like her time at Glamtec, Sumire made great efforts to improve and protect the company, such as protecting their official store from an attack from Function Over Form, but this time she was applauded by her coworkers and promoted to work on their then-secret cyborgization team. But due to Glamtec’s meddling, she was killed in Beauchêne’s space factory manufacturing cosmetics. Fortunately, she was revived as a cyborg from a brain scan performed earlier.
Although her new cyborg body was transforming on its own, with the help of her coworkers she was able to control it. Marshal himself later recognized her efforts and appointed her to the position of head of anti-espionage, freeing her from the blackmail of Glamtec.
Sumire is a serious and diligent person who usually plans ahead of time, analyzing a situations before acting. Working for many different companies has developed her behavior of being polite and gaining the respect of her peers and supervisors.
She is deeply indebted to Marshal, and will go through great lengths to ensure the success of his company Beauchêne.
