Isabel Salvador is a cult leader of the Children of the Island, whose mission is to spread glamorization throughout the world. She opposes the use of artificial cosmetics, such as those from Beauchêne and Glamtec, believing them to be inferior to the blessings of the mysterious island.
Before she was indoctrinated into the cult, she aspired to be beautiful, desirable, and eye-catching like fashion e-magazine models, but without resources or good looks she gave up on her dream, instead working tough jobs to make a living. She has a habit of praying when troubled, and took religion much more seriously after she arrived on the mysterious island.
Cabin Fever
Born on a distant continent, Isabel gave up on her dreams of becoming a fashion model and worked as a cargo ship worker to travel the world. After catching the island flu, she wanted to visit the mysterious island but traveling there was restricted due to health concerns. She decided on her second best choice, which was to save money to buy cosmetics from Glamtec.
One day her cargo ship encountered and was sundered by a terrible storm. Miraculously, she woke up stranded on that same mysterious island she wished to visit, becoming glamorized. The locals met and welcomed her into their cult, believing her to be the prophesized one to lead their group.
Counterculture
With Isabel’s ability to traverse long distances, the Children of the Island aggressively expanded their influence into the mainland, establishing a hideout and recruiting new members. With her new team, she and the recruits successfully shifted the public opinion to become more positive towards the mysterious island, planting the idea in peoples’ minds to travel there.
Aiming to get the Reinhyl Public Health Institute to repeal their travel ban to the mysterious island, Isabel and her team targeted key members, hoping to use their powers to change their minds, but they were thwarted by Sumire Yanagi and were forced to withdraw.
Personality and traits
Isabel is a bit hot-tempered. Thanks to her glamorization, she feels empowered and isn’t afraid to dive head first into any situation. She uses casual, and even vulgar language frequently.
In the past she pretended to be religious, but after being indoctrinated into the Children of the Island, she began to take religion more seriously.
Abilities and skills
- Spatial movement: Upon visiting the island, Isabel gained the ability to travel long distances. She uses this ability to travel to the mainland, escort companions, and guide prospective cult members back to the island. Due to the prohibition of travel to the mysterious island, this ability has become critical to the cult.
- Superhuman strength: Her glamorization has granted her the ability to exhibit superhuman levels of strength.
