Sierra is a spirit born from the Bermudan ocean.
History
Sierra is one half of the spirit that now lives in Kaia’s hairpin. Lana and Sierra were originally a single entity who worked to maintain the balance of the sea, but when defeated by a sea dragon called the leviathan, one of the most dangerous sea monsters, they escaped by escaping into a hairpin they had made with their magic and went dormant. At that time, she and Lana were separated and became two entities.
After that, she seemed destined to lay there, waiting to be forgotten. One year before the story began in Bermuda, Kaia picked them up while was walking on the beach and awakened her, triggering her first transformation.

Sierra transformed Kaia on the second day at Jane O’Young and Gina Evelyn’s request. In addition, she surprised Gina by transforming her when she wore a hairpiece to check if she was compatible with it.
Personality and traits
Sierra is a cheerful person and loves to live in the present. She is basically motivated by curiosity and heads towards the direction she finds most interesting. This aspect of her personality can be seen in the fact that she often transforms Kaia to see how she reacts.
However, at the same time, she also shows a surprising ability to care about others, she does not try to forcefully change the situation for anyone other than her friends, and she even asks Kaia to teach her the rules of New Salem.
The reason why Sierra wears her hair in twintails is that her original long hair would make her look too gloomy. Even though she is a symbol of the night sea, she does not give off that dark image at all.
Sierra understands that there are beautiful things about the ocean, such as coral reefs, but for the most part she finds them boring. Among all spirits, Sierra possesses superior magical power and range. She specializes in offensive magic, with both her lightning and water magic exceeding Kaia’s. However, she cannot use support magic. To use it, she must switch places with Lana. Therefore, she can only attack durign night battles in the Bermuda.
- Growth magic: This magic is used to transform Kaia. It is mainly used to strengthen her support magic. It temporarily transforms her into a glamorous figure, her hair becomes turns into twintails, and her hair color turns dark blue. The result is that her range and firepower is improved compared to when Kaia grew up.
- Offensive magic: Sierra is primarily able to use two types of magic, lightning and water magic. She is not only able to use lightning and water bullets, but also create electrical discharges and large waves. They can be discharged at a higher power than when Kaia transforms. However, she is unable to use magic of other attributes, such as flame magic, wind magic, and rock magic, unless she contracts with another person.
- Fission body: As a spirit, Sierra can create a fission body. The body can talk and move autonomously, but it has little combat power and can only fight with its tail. In addition, it looks like a chibi manta ray about 25 cm in size.
Possessions
- Sea spirit ornament: This is the hair ornament that
Lana and Sierra live in. It looks like an bobby pin with a wave-shaped
jewel attached to it. Through this hair ornament, she can talk to Kaia
and sometimes transform her.
Temporary contracts are also effective on other people, though there will be restrictions on lightning magic. Powerful magic may be created by synergizing with the magic the subject originally possesses. However, if she refuses, it becomes unavailable and in some cases results in a burden to the wearer.

シエラはバミューダの海から生まれた精霊です。
経歴
シエラは、現在カイアの髪留めに住んでいる精霊の片割れです。
ラナとシエラは元々は一つで、昔から海のバランスを保つために活動していたが、海の魔物の中でも危険なレヴィアタンと呼ばれる海竜に負けた際に、魔法で作った髪留めに逃げ込み難を逃がれ休眠することとなりました。それ際にラナと分離し2人となりました。
その後はそのまま忘れ去られるのを待っている運命かと思われましたが。バミューダで物語が始まる一年前に、海浜を歩いていたカイアに拾われ、目覚めることとなりました。
なお、その時に初変身を遂げることとなります。
シエラは、自分達が力を貸す代わりに、カイアは海のバランスを保つと言う条件で契約をし今に至ります。
Northampton Blue Sea
シエラは2日目にジェーンとジーナの要望に応えてカイアを変身させたり、適合しているか確認する為に髪飾りをつけたジーナをサプライズと称して更に変身させたりした。
性格・特性
シエラは刹那的で、明るい性格です。基本的に興味本位で動き、自分が面白いと思った方向に物事を動かします。
カイアを度々変身させ、反応を見ようとしているところからもそう言う一面が伺えます。
しかし、同時に意外にも人に気を使える能力を持っており、友人以外の状況を無理に変えようとは思ってはおらず、ニューセーラムのルールを知る為に、カイアに教えを乞う時もあるほどです。
なお、シエラが髪型をツインテールにしている理由だが、元のロングヘアではあまりにも暗い印象を抱かせてしまう為です。
その為、彼女は夜の海の象徴であるが全く暗いイメージを抱かせないんです。
シエラは海に関しては、珊瑚礁など綺麗なものがあるのは理解してはいるが、大部分はつまらないものだと思っています。
だからこそ、灯台を見かけた時はあそこまで感動したのです。
暗い性格だった彼女は、それを機に明るく生きていこうと決心しました。
なお、人間の遊びを積極的に取り入れており、サーフィンが趣味です。
ダイビングスーツや、大きな船などを見て人間の発展は目まぐるしいなと思っているようです。
その発展を見たいというのも海の魔物と戦っている理由の一つになっているみたいです。
魔法の能力・スキル
シエラは、精霊の中でも魔法の出力や範囲が優れています。
攻撃魔法に特化しており、雷魔法も水魔法もカイアのそれよりも優れています。
しかし、彼女には補助魔法が使えず。使うにはラナと交代する必要があります。
故に、バミューダでの夜の戦闘では、攻撃しかできなくなります。
- 成長魔法：カイアを変身させるための魔法です。主に補助魔法を強化する為に使われます。
一時的にグラマーな姿と化し、髪型もツインテールに、髪色もダークブルーとなります。効果としては範囲がカイアが成長した際よりも改善され、火力も増強する事となります。 攻撃魔法：シエラは主に雷、水と二つの属性から使え、雷弾及び水弾だけではなく、放電をしたり、大波を発生させたりもできます。
カイアが変身した時よりも、より高出力で放つことができます。
しかし、炎魔法や、風魔法、岩魔法などの他属性の魔法は他の人と契約しない限り使えなくなっています。 - 分身体：シエラは精霊としての分身体を生み出せます。
その身体は会話をし、自律して動くことができるが、戦闘力は少なく、尻尾で対抗するぐらいです。
なお、見た目はデフォルメしたマンタみたいな見た目をしており、25cmほどの大きさです。
所持品
- 海の精霊の髪飾り：ラナとシエラが住んでいる髪飾りです。見た目は波の宝石が付いた、アメリカピンという感じです。
この髪飾りを介して、カイアと会話をし、時には変身をさせます。
一時的に契約することで他人に対しても雷魔法などに制限が掛かりますが、効果を発揮します。対象が元から保有している魔法とシナジーして強力な魔法が生まれることがあります。
しかし、彼女が拒否すると使用ができなくなり、場合によっては対象者に負担を与える結果になります。
