Karoline Werner is a new recruit of the Children of the Island. She plays a key role in recruiting new members, infiltrating facilities, and hiding the activities of her fellow cult members.
Prior to her role at the mysterious island, Karoline wasn’t sure what she wanted to do. At her parents’ guidance, she picked a STEM major, believing that it would lead to job security and a guaranteed steady income. She was good at her expertise, yet wasn’t very passionate about it.
About a year after she entered the workforce, she began to have dreams of a temple on an island, where a mysterious person offered her a more meaningful life than what she had. She conversed with this person over the course of several dreams, culminating in Isabel Salvador escorting her to the island.
Karoline is calm and dedicated to her work. She is happy to be useful to the island where there are no electronics, and her unique role motivates her to help others when she can.
Outside of work, she tries to dabble with various things such as reading different books and assisting others on the island. Though she has some knowledge of a broad scope of topics, outside of her profession she’s not an expert in any of them. In her free time, it’s not unusual to witness her gazing towards the sky, daydreaming about random things.
Machine whispering: Karoline is able to hack devices with her mind. Her ability, combined with her experience in the tech industry, allows her to manipulate devices in novel ways, a power that is strengthened the closer she physically is to a device.
However, her manipulations are limited to what the device is capable of. Karoline needs to take more time to hack when she is moving or performing complex actions.
