Clara Nieves is one of the oldest and most devout members of the Children of the Island. As one of the senior members, she has a responsibility to guide and train new recruits. She played a role in changing the public’s opinion on Reinhyl Public Health Institute’s travel ban to the mysterious island.
Before the modern age, Clara was a noblewoman who sought a cure for her blindness. Desperate to be able to see, she traveled by boat to chase rumors of a doctor who could possibly help her. However, she encountered a storm and was shipwrecked.
When she awoke, she found her vision restored and her body transformed. After meeting a woman at a temple there, Clara viewed her cure as a blessing and since became deeply devoted to the island.
Having experienced many lifetimes, Clara has a calm demeanor. Combined with her experience, she is regarded as a wise person, and many members often seek her counsel. She is first and foremost devoted to the Children of the Island, and often cautions newer recruits on avoiding reckless behavior, fearing that their new powers would overinflate their egos.
Clairvoyance: Clara can observe targets from a distance of up to 80 kilometers away, even through walls or beneath the ground. Her observation is only limited to vision, so she cannot hear, smell, or experience any other of her senses at the remote location.
However, the further the distance, the longer it takes, and the less information she is able to perceive. Observing is easier with fewer distractions both at her location and the target location. There is a chance of the target feeling uneasy or like they’re being watched. And Clara must wait 30 minutes between each of her observations.
