Oak Shade is the name of Alba’s pocket dimension.
For most magicians, pocket dimensions are meant for storing and retrieving items. However, Alba is able to expand her pocket dimension to live in it and connect her dimension to other worlds. This is mainly achieved by borrowing the mana Alba funnels from Earth to New Salem.
Inside Oak Shade, the rules of physics are largely the same as those on Earth. However, there is one notable difference: while parts of this dimension are nothing but space, people won’t suffocate or freeze as a result.
