Dana Arnold is a new recruit of the Children of the Island. She played a key role in changing the public’s opinion to repeal the Reinhyl Public Health Institute’s travel ban to the mysterious island.
Dana spent her early life as an office worker. However, she was low on the social hierarchy and so, combined with her quiet voice, no one took her seriously. Experiencing neglect throughout her career was the start of her desire to feel heard and be validated.
One night she had a dream about a person from a temple on a mysterious island. That person offered to bring Dana the recognition she deserved. When she woke up, she found Isabel Salvador waiting for her, and was then escorted to the island.
Dana is bright, cheerful, and optimistic. Years of being neglected resulted in her craving for frequent attention, sometimes to a fault. She typically lifts the mood of her comrades, usually due to her bubbly personality or her clumsiness.
Suggestion: Similar to hypnotism, Dana has the ability to guide a person to a desired idea, feeling, or behavior. She made effective use of this ability to cause influencers to suggest repealing the travel ban to the mysterious island.
Not only can she implant suggestions on people, but she can also imbue them into objects as well. In other words, people holding objects imbued with her ability will be influenced by Dana’s suggestions. Those suggestions last only as long as Dana spent time imbuing them. If Dana spent a minute imbuing an object, then the suggestion in that object would only last a minute.
This ability has a couple of disadvantages. First, it generally requires close contact. While Dana can implement suggestions from afar, the chance of failure goes up with an increase in distance. In addition, people with a high level of mental fortitude can resist the suggestions.
