The tempest endangered the barrier and ley lines. If the barrier broke, the island would sink. To prevent this, Kaia and the others needed to repair the barrier. However, Jane was exhausted from the battle against the cult, so Gina took it upon herself to use the power of Kaia’s hair ornament to repair it. She couldn’t withstand the storm alone, so Jane and Kaia supported her. Thanks to their efforts, the guardian focused fully on sealing the dragon.
