Mary and Ainsley read in a magazine that cherry blossom trees had been sent from Japan to New Salem.
Captivated by their beauty and novelty, Ainsley suggests to Mary that they go see the cherry blossoms together with their senior, Rani.
Mary gladly accepts the suggestion.
