Mary and Ainsley are seeking help from a famous alchemist. However, in order to see the alchemist, they need the approval of her vampire guardian, Gertrude. To test their resolve, the guardian asks to suck their blood. Mary and Ainsley hesitate for a moment, but their determination to achieve their goal gives them the mental strength to accept the challenge.
