Secret apps

There are websites and apps that provide seemingly impossible services, such as hypnotizing people, granting wishes, causing blackouts, reading minds, etc. There have been reports of people discovering these sites by accident while browsing the web or finding apps they don’t recognize suddenly installed on their phones. When people try to share these sites and apps with others, they either disappear or change into something else.

However, using secret sites always seems to incur some sort of price, paid upfront or later. Examples include portions of one’s lifespan, memories of specific people and events, body parts, etc. These prices are typically listed in the terms of service, which users typically skip.

No one really knows who developed these sites or how the apps are distributed. Rumor has it that they are created by a paranormal entity in order to steal the souls of its victims, but most people disregard this because they don’t believe in the occult.
