Graham is a magician who serves the New Salem military. As part of his work, he responds to disasters and aids guardians in need of assistance.
Fia is a magician and a professor who studies humans. She usually alternates between conducting fieldwork on Earth and teaching courses in New Salem.
With the unique opportunity the two have to travel between New Salem and Earth, the two met by chance. Graham was in one of his deployments and Fia was on her own research trip. One thing led to another, they married, and gave birth to a girl named Ainsley.
